YES

Screen brightness, color settings, display hardware, Night Shift and similar features can change how difficult a round looks. This is not an eyesight or color-vision test.

Accessibility: The mechanic deliberately depends on color perception and cannot be made equivalent for every kind of color vision. Navigation and results remain accessible.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Find the one tile whose color differs from the rest. A correct choice advances immediately; a wrong choice reveals the target before the result.
  2. The early rounds use larger perceptual differences. Later rounds vary lightness, chroma or hue by smaller amounts instead of only making the grid bigger.
  3. Each level has three rounds. A miss reveals the correct tile, then play continues. Finish all three to move to the next level.

WHAT YOUR SCORE MEANS

The result shows correct choices out of three. Total response time is kept as a local tie-breaker but does not dominate the visual task.

Colors are generated inside an sRGB-safe range to reduce browser gamut differences. Difficulty is still display-dependent and cannot be perfectly standardized.

QUESTIONS

Why not measure color difference in RGB?

Equal RGB steps do not look equally different. The game generates controlled changes in a perceptual color space, then emits safe display colors.

Can the game calibrate my screen?

No. Browsers cannot reliably detect every display mode or room-lighting condition, so the game states the limitation instead of inventing a calibration.
