If the page moves to the background while a run is active, that attempt is cancelled. This keeps “wait in another tab” from becoming a shortcut.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Start the timer, watch its first two seconds, then keep the count in your head after the display disappears.
  2. Stop when you believe the displayed target time has passed. Targets progress from 3 to 20 seconds. You can use the large stage button, Space or Enter.
  3. Your result shows the measured time and how many milliseconds early or late you stopped. Practice is unlimited.

WHAT YOUR SCORE MEANS

The primary score is absolute timing error. Smaller is better, and personal bests are kept separately for each target and scoring version.

Browser scheduling and input hardware add a small amount of latency, so the display is rounded to one millisecond and is presented as a game result—not laboratory timing.

QUESTIONS

Why does the timer disappear?

The visible first two seconds establish the pace. The hidden part turns a stopwatch task into a timing-estimation challenge.

Can I use the keyboard?

Yes. Space and Enter start and stop the same attempt as the on-screen control.
