Every cake has an equal-area solution. The 12-level journey progresses through squares, circles, ellipses and hexagons. The target and current shares stay visible.

Accessibility: Cutting requires aiming a pointer or a finger across a visual shape. Instructions and results are text; keyboard players can try Visual Memory or Even Pour.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Drag straight across the cake to make a cut. It extends edge to edge automatically — you only aim its angle and position.
  2. Live shares update after every cut, and pieces are tinted by how close they are: on target, too big, or too small.
  3. You get exactly as many cuts as the puzzle allows — once every cut is made, the round ends and the final shares are locked in.

WHAT YOUR SCORE MEANS

First make exactly the requested number of pieces. Then the 0–1000 score penalizes the spread between the largest and smallest piece, measured in percentage points of the whole cake.

Perfect is a spread of half a percentage point or less — not necessarily equal-looking pieces, since equal area and equal shape are not the same thing on a circle.

QUESTIONS

Why does spacing cuts evenly not work?

Equal width is not equal area on a circle: a strip near the edge is thinner than it looks by area, and a strip through the middle is fatter than it looks. The exact equal-area spacing has to account for that curve, not just divide the diameter evenly.

What happens if my cuts cross each other?

Crossing lines may create extra pieces. You need exactly one piece per person; the wrong number scores zero. Empty or repeated cuts do not count, and you can undo your last cut before the final one.
