This is a visual spatial puzzle about the inside of a solid. It does not ask you to divide an object into equal volumes or reward fast guesses.

Accessibility: Judging cross-sections depends on sight. A native slider, arrow keys and large step buttons reach the same plane positions; tilt buttons never require dragging. There is no timer.

HOW TO PLAY

  1. Start to reveal a solid and its movable cutting plane. Slide the plane up or down until Your slice looks like the Target slice. The cutaway shows the part below the plane; dashed edges show the rest of the solid.
  2. The first three levels only move the plane. From level 4, choose a labeled plane angle as well. Use the slider, the minus and plus buttons, or arrow keys while the slider has focus. Every input reaches the same 33 positions.
  3. Press Slice when you are ready. The result overlays your filled section and the dashed target. Try same solid keeps the exact puzzle; Next level continues the course. Every result completes the level, with no timer or minimum score.

WHAT YOUR SCORE MEANS

The match percentage is the intersection area of your cross-section and the target divided by their combined area. Missing and extra areas both reduce the score. A perfect match is 100%; an empty section scores 0%.

Both sections are centered for comparison, but their size, direction and proportions stay unchanged. The two preview boards share one fixed scale. Moving a small section to the middle does not make it larger or turn it to fit.

Personal bests belong to the same level and scoring version. A displayed tenth of a percent is the scoring unit; ties stay tied. Game points are ten times the match percentage, not a percentile, ability test or scientific measure.

QUESTIONS

How is this different from Shadow Match?

In Shadow Match you rotate an object and compare its outer projection. Here the object stays still and a plane reveals an internal cross-section. Moving or tilting the plane can change the number of sides as well as the size.

Can I play with a phone or keyboard?

Yes. Tap the plane-angle and step buttons, or move the native slider. With the slider focused, arrow keys move one step and Home or End go to its limits. There is no precision dragging requirement or time limit.

Can every target be matched exactly?

Yes. Every target is generated from the same solid, allowed angles and positions that you can choose. Several states may create the same section and receive the same score.

Why does a slice sometimes disappear?

At the edge of the solid the plane may touch only a point or a line. Those have no area and score zero. Move the plane inward to reveal a polygon again.

Can I retry without losing the target?

Try same solid resets the controls but keeps the exact solid and target in this session. Next level uses a fresh seed. Progress and scores stay in this browser; there is no account or cross-device sync.
